Dear Kevin,

I first want to express my appreciation for your comments on this subject relative to the incident which took place at one of our American Public Shools in Friendswood, TX on May 22,2008 wherein an Islamic indoctrination of our students took place illegally and unauthorized by the School District at the invitation of the school's principle, Robin Lowe.

Your thoughts and opinions are acknowledged and respected, however I have a couple of points of information and corrections to make pursuant to Constitutional Law and "religion" as you describe it in your posts on this thread.

The first point I will make pursuant to this discussion is that in no way do I perceive my religion as more important or better than any others. Further, I do not discriminate against other religions or those who do not embrace religion and fully respect one's right to have freedom to do their own thing, as long as it falls within our constitutional boundaries and remains in total compliance with our laws.

#1 Pursuant to your comments as follows:

"Other than perhaps a gay man or woman presenting similar material on gay relations, I can't think of another subject that would have raised this kind of uproar. I think that people feel that Muslims are so despicable that they don't deserve to be treated like humans."

While you raise a good point and identify some of the popular opinons among parents and others involved in this incident, I must tell you that this outrage over the Muslim influence in our schools is based on a very serious matter.

You also said:

"Denying Muslims freedom in this country is immoral and illegal."

I would just remind you that what was accomplished by the actions of the school and the C.A.I.R. representatives was "illegal" and in violation of the law.

I would just point out that Muslims, although some not overtly, consider all Americans, Jews, Christians, ahteists, agnostics, and anyone other than a Muslim (us) to be of similar classification as "apes & pigs". This is a well-documented, known fact and applies to ALL Muslims, not just radical "Jihadists" and "Extremist" varieties. It is taught in their schools, written in their so-called Bible (Qur'an), Sira, and Hadith, therefore if anyone should be considered bigoted or prejudiced and even racist, it would have to be people of this persuasion. There are no revised texts with politically correct wording with this basic tenet of Islam revised or removed to delete this as an integral part of their creed. It applies to ALL Muslims as a fundamental concept.

The fact you may not believe what I have said does not negate the reality of it and certainly will not serve to mitigate this imminent threat to our schools, our government, and our nation's security. The fact that some have claimed that ALL Muslims are not threats to our society, and that there are "moderate Muslims" who do not embrace these doctrines, therefore it is only those extremists about whom we need to be concerned, is grossly naive, ignorant, and blind wisdom. You had better be concerned. For your information and enlightenment, I would suggest you visit the website http://www.politicalislam.com and read up on this from one historian and scholar who is a noted, bona fide expert on the subject.

Any Muslim who tells you differently than what I have delineated above is being disingenuous about his/her sincerety or just plain lying, although for a Muslim, lying is also acceptable when dealing with non-believers (non-Muslims) or "Kafir".

#2 You stated the following:

"It's always been illegal to have overt observances of any religion in public schools (separation of church and state). It's just that for years the schools were populated primarily by Judeo-Christians, so it became tradition to let Judeo-Christian observances slide."

For the benefit of those who may read these comments and follow the context of this important discussion, I would just repeat that I am not trying to impose my authority or bigotry on you or anyone else, however your statement of facts on this subject are inaccurate and untrue.

To clarify salient facts of Constitutional Law, it has never been illegal to have overt observances of a religious nature in public schools and there is no such clause in our Constitution which dictates "separation of church and state". This is a common myth which has been perpetrated by many atheists and protestors throughout the history of our republic, however the reference to such erroneous quotations and paraphrases of the 1st Amendment to the Constitution are unfounded.

For further clarification and convenience, I have included a reprint of the text of the 1st Amendment below for perusal.

Amendment [ I ] (The Bill of Rights) - U.S. Constitution

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble,...(Note: Nowhere is "separation of church and state" mentioned as this is only a myth, i.e. totally erroneous.)

For further information and education on this subject, I would offer the following link to a page with pertinent facts and related documentation relative to this incident for review. Please take the time to look this up and make your own observations before commenting further on the subject.

While on the page above, please also find the link labeled: "ACLJ/CAIR Letter" to review the opinion and counsel, from a legal perspective, pursuant to this incident from an organization who has been heard on numerous cases pursuant to 1st Amendment rights and other cases of similar nature in our U.S. Supreme Court.

In the interest of all students and parents involved in this incident affecting our young people and citizens of the community in which they live, I hope the above and referenced information is both informative and helpful.
